Foundation “Conflict resolution and Reconciliation of disputes” (*)
Albanian Foundation for Conflict resolution and Reconciliation of disputes (AFCR) as a non-governmental, non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization, and open for cooperation has provided its assistance to the democratization of the Albanian society through resolving and reconciling conflicts and disputes that may arise between individuals or social groups.
Beyond her main activity which is conflict resolution and reconciliation of disputes through mediation. AFCR also trains coordinators of the mediation centers and AFCR mediators, educates for peace and conflict resolution among the school age groups, does research studies, surveys, observations, monitoring, and organizes seminars, conferences …
The foundation’s objectives are to strengthen the mediation process through professionalism, to increase the number of conflicts and disputes solved through the mediation alternative, and to Promote public awareness and education of social groups, particularly school age groups with the culture of peace, tolerance and understanding.

The mediation centers
There are nine Mediation Centers, where in there are employed full time coordinators and time part mediators.
The Mediation Centers are in Tirane, Shkoder, Peshkopi, Burrel, Rreshen, Korce, Berat, Vlore and Gjirokaster.

The network of mediators
In addition to the mediators centers, the mediators network is operational in other twelve districts throughout the country: in Lezha, Puka, Durrësi, Kavaja, Kukësi, Mirdita, Gramshi, Pogradeci, Devolli, Malësi e Madhe, Elbasani and Fieri.
It consists of 25 professionnal mediators, 250 voluntary mediators , 22 high schools and 8 primary schools.
